Research Interests:



  • Biomaterials (e.g., wood, cellulose, chitin, etc.) engineering and functionalization toward sustainable applications, including lightweight structural materials, energy storage/conversion, environmental remediation, electronic, optical and acoustic devices, etc.

  • Advanced nanomanufacturing (e.g., 3D printing, microwave heating, thermal shock heating, etc.) of functional materials for energy storage, environmental remediation and beyond.

  • Energy storage materials and devices, including batteries and supercapacitors.
