Patricia Caratozzolo

Dr. Patricia Caratozzolo Martelliti is an Electronic Engineer from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (UBA). She completed her doctoral studies at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain, at the Institute of Industrial Robotics, with a PhD thesis on electric generation systems for hybrid vehicles, in June 2003. She worked for several years at the National Center for Technological Research and Development (Cenidet) as a professor-researcher, where she directed six master's theses in the area of energy control in electric and hybrid vehicles. He has numerous articles published on issues of supervisory control of energy in electric and hybrid vehicles.

She is currently a professor-researcher in the Department of Mechatronics of the Tecnologico de Monterrey, specialized in Power Transmission, Ssustainability and Energy Efficiency.

Outstanding activities in the Sector of Educational Innovation:

She leads research projects in educational innovation funded by the NOVUS fund of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Some projects are: Design of didactic strategies to enhance the lexical corpus of students (2015); Transversal laboratory for the development of critical thinking (2017); Storytelling and Podcast Lab for the development of soft skills in engineering (2019.
She is interested in presenting the results of her researches in conferences and workshops on educational innovation, teaching-learning strategies, fourth industrial revolution, Critical and Creative Thinking, Cognitive Flexibility and development of soft skills in engineering.
She teaches courses on the implementation of learning strategies in Higher Education for the development of: creativity in engineering, soft skills and competencies, Critical Thinking and Case Analysis, Problem Solving through Lateral Thinking and Design Thinking.
